形態特徵

• Stems spirally twisted, twining, terete.
• Petiole 2–3 cm long; leaf blade lanceolate, ovate-lanceolate, or ovate, 6–11 cm long, 2.5–3.5 cm long wide, base rounded to shallowly cordate, margin crenulate, apex acuminate, veins 3.
• Inflorescences 1-flowered or Cymess; bracts 1–4 pairs, scalelike. narrowly lanceolate. Pedicel 2–3 mm long. Calyx campanulate; tube 7–9 mm long, winged; lobes lanceolate, 0.9–1.5 cm long, widely keeled, apex acute to acuminate. Corolla yellowish white, narrowly campanulate, 3.5–4 cm long; lobes triangular, 4–5 mm long, apex acuminate; plicae obliquely triangular, 1–2.5 mm long, margin crenulate. Filaments linear, 1–2cm long; anthers ellipsoid, 1–2 mm long. Disc 1–1.5 mm long. Ovary 7–9 mm long; gynophore 2–3 mm long. Style linear, 1.5–2.5 cm long.
• Berries red-purple, subglobose, 1–1.8 cm long, ca. 1 cm long across, included in corolla; gynophore 1–3 mm long. Seeds dark purple, ellipsoid to ovoid, triquetrous, 1.5–2 mm long , wingless.
• This species is very similar to T. taiwanense and many specimens in the herbaria of Taiwan have often been incorrectly identified. According to Murata (1989), S. alutaceifolium is characterized by widely keeled, lanceolate calyx lobes and subglobose fruit

• 台灣 : northern Taiwan, broad-leavesd forests from 200 to 1,300 m; occasional in the south.
